Benefits of tools
Surveys of Needs & Resources will assist your organization or community determine your choice of gatekeeper training and the GTISS tools that will enhance effectiveness. Developing a customized Suicide Prevention Resource and Referral Guide will ensure that help is available to training participants as needed.
Surveys can be time-consuming but many organizations have resources to conduct them efficiently. If time and resources are limited, you can survey a small sample of key leaders and staff and summarize results within a week's time.
Locating/updating local, state, and national suicide prevention and referral resources can take a few hours or a few days, depending on your current list of resources.
